Rose of Sharon Daycare is open Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are closed on South African public holidays and during scheduled school breaks. Please contact us for our holiday calendar.
We welcome children from 3 months to 6 years old, offering age-appropriate programmes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our monthly fees include meals (breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack), all learning materials, and daily activities. A detailed fee schedule is available on request or at our front desk.
Yes, Rose of Sharon Daycare is fully registered with the Department of Social Development and complies with all relevant South African regulations governing early childhood development (ECD) centres.
We follow a play-based early childhood development programme aligned with the South African Department of Basic Education's ECD framework, focusing on language, numeracy, social skills, creativity, and physical development.
The safety of your child is our top priority. Our premises are fully fenced and access-controlled. All staff undergo background checks, and only authorised individuals may collect your child. CCTV monitoring is in place throughout the facility.
We maintain small class sizes to ensure every child receives individual attention. Our ratios follow the Department of Social Development's guidelines — typically 1 educator to 6 babies, 1 to 8 toddlers, and 1 to 10 preschoolers.
You can enrol by contacting us via phone, email, or the enquiry form on our website. We'll schedule a facility tour, walk you through the registration process, and provide all required documentation.
We recommend a labelled bag with a change of clothes, a comfort item (for younger children), and any prescribed medication if needed. We provide all meals and learning supplies
For the wellbeing of all children and staff, we ask that you keep your child at home if they are unwell. If a child shows signs of illness during the day, a parent or guardian will be contacted immediately to collect them. We follow the guidance of the Department of Health regarding infectious illness protocols.
